
TILDEN LAKE DAM REPLACEMENT
2019 to 2021
Replacement of the Tilden Lake Dam included the construction of a by-pass channel to divert water from Tilden Lake around the construction limits into the Tomiko River, construction of a new gravity dam, demolition of the existing Tilden Lake Dam, and landscaping restoration

DIVERSION CHANNEL OPERATION
The diversion channel was operated during the construction phase of the dam and was able to adjust to accommodate any changes in flow as required.

DIVERSION CHANNEL CONSTRUCTION
Construction of a 50m sheet pile diversion channel. Complete with concrete bottom, sheet pile walls, cut-off wall at inlet, and operational stop log gate.

CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE GRAVITY DAM
Concrete forming, placement, finishing and curing of footings, two piers, two abutments and wingwalls, and 25m ogee weir.
